Antique 1920s Wide Brim Cloche Hat

Beautiful, rare antique felt cloche. This style was fashionable after the Great War and before the flapper craze. made of felt, with a velvet hat band with a bow in the back. It has a large front brim, short back, and the sides hang down. The brim has a few folds and the crown has a nice elevation that slopes diagonally towards the back.

Labeled 'Hoedenhuis Dechesne', a Dutch store from the town of Franeker.

Inside circumference is 54 cm / 21.5"

In good condition, with wear consistent with age. There are two pinholes at the top and some damage to the edge of the brim (see last photo). The elastic has lost its stretch.
